There was an article in the pamphlet given by St. Patrick's Church that caught my eye. Everyday steps of "letting go" for forty days:
Week One: Let Go of Anxiety
Ash Wednesday: Go without your watch
Thursday: Let go of your expectation to be perfect
Friday: Don't bring home any work this weekend
Week Two: Let Go of Possessions
Sunday: Spend a day without television
Monday: Give away a CD, Video or Audio Tape
Tuesday: Walk to a store instead of driving
Wednesday: Let go of one thing on your "Things To Do List"
Thursday: Let the price of one coffee break or recess go to "Share Lent"
Friday: Let go of your favorite snack
Saturday: Share something you value with someone you treasure
Week Three: Let Go of Habits
Sunday: Let go of negative criticism
Monday: Let go of an opportunity to gossip
Tuesday: Let go of a chance to criticize
Wednesday: Let go of procrastination
Thursday: Let go of answering the phone during dinner
Friday: Let go of the need to be in charge
Saturday: Tell someone how much you care for them
Week Four: Let Go of Fears
Sunday: Let of your fear of being embarrassed
Monday: Let go of your fear of being criticized
Tuesday: Let go of your fear of being alone
Wednesday: Let go of your fear of being used
Thursday: Let go of your fear of rejection
Friday: Let go of your fear of failure
Saturday: Tell someone how much you need them in your life
Week Five: Let Go of Pain
Sunday: Let go of a grudge you hold
Monday: Let go of the pain of losing a loved one
Tuesday: Let go of the pain of a broken relationship
Wednesday: Let go of a rejection
Thursday: Let go of the fear of being taken for granted
Friday: Let go of the pain of being distrusted
Saturday: Forgive someone for a past hurt
Week Six: Let Go of Distractions
Sunday: Let go of TV for an hour
Monday: Let go of CDs or Tapes
Tuesday: Don't check phone messages when you get home
Wednesday: Let go of taking extra work at home
Thursday: Let go of 2 things at once
Friday: Let go... and let God
Saturday: Take some quiet time for yourself
HOLY WEEK: Let Go of Anger
Sunday: Let go of resentment
Monday: Let go of a chance of sarcasm
Tuesday: Let go of "I told you so"
Wednesday: Let go of the silent treatment
Thursday: Forgive yourself of a mistake
Friday: Let go of hostility for persecution
Saturday: Choose to smile, not frown
Sounds simple. But it's not. Some of them would be very hard to do especially for me. I don't know if I could do everything but it's worth a shot.
We can't always get what we want but that doesn't mean we can't have fun. Life's sweet! So why worry? Enjoy and dig in.

Inspring Quotes From The Alchemist
I finished recently reading "The Alchemist" by Paolo Coehlo. Here are some of the things he wrote that caught my eye:
"Fear of suffering is worse than suffering itself...No heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second's encounter with God and with eternity."
"Because when we love, we always strive to become better than we are."
"Life is generous to those who pursue their Personal Legend."
"To realize one's destiny is a person's obligation and when you want something all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."
This book had helped me a lot in psyching myself to not give up. It has been a trying month for me and somehow, one way or another, the universe did conspire. Opportunities came and I am now looking forward for better days.
To quote one of my dear friends, "Ang lufeet talaga ni Papa God."
Amen!!!

Help Me Be..
Last month was something. No words could describe the emotions I felt that time. Before the month ended, I wrote something on my starbucks planner (thanks to bff)..
Believing better days are coming... I know they'll come!
A new month,
A new beginning.
Start anew,
Start afresh.
Forget the past,
Ease the pain and forgive.
Move on...
Life's beautiful!!!
There are many things to be thankful for.
Lord, I surrender,
You are in control.
Help me be..
