I have been in the crossroads lately. Things got out of hand and it really depressed me. I had been stubborn and impatient. Ayan tuloy. I'm now picking slowly trying to pick up the pieces. Who would have thought...Minsan sa mga nangyayari naiisip mo na parang ikaw lang, carry mo ang mundo. At ayan na nga.. nagparamdam si Papa God...
I was browsing in the entertainment section of the Star website looking for the latest gossip when I stumbled into this,
"One day, I asked God for a bunch of beautiful flowers. Instead, He gave me a cactus. Later, I asked him to give me butterflies. Instead, he gave me worms. I was disappointed and I wept. But a few days later, I noticed that the cactus bloomed with beautiful flowers and the worms soon became butterflies. God wants us to wait for the right time for He knows all the best that He can give."
God really works in wondrous ways.
Amen!
We can't always get what we want but that doesn't mean we can't have fun. Life's sweet! So why worry? Enjoy and dig in.

You Are Loved
I'm not at my best today and this song just lifted me...
You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)
Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
When you're heart's heavy
I...I will lift it for you
Don't give up
Because you want to be heard
If silence keeps you
I...I will break it for you
Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved
Don't give up
It's just the hurt that you hide
When you lost inside
I...I will be there to find you
Don't give up
Because you want to burn bright
If darkness blinds you
I...I will shine to guide you
Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved
You are loved
Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
Don't give up
Every one is to be heard
You are loved
When you're heart's heavy
I...I will lift it for you
Don't give up
Because you want to be heard
If silence keeps you
I...I will break it for you
Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved
Don't give up
It's just the hurt that you hide
When you lost inside
I...I will be there to find you
Don't give up
Because you want to burn bright
If darkness blinds you
I...I will shine to guide you
Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved
You are loved
Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
Don't give up
Every one is to be heard
You are loved
It's funny how creative God can be to prove a point.

The Hills Were Alive Once More
"The hills are alive... with the sound of music!!!"
- Maria Rainer
Who wouldn't know that verse? Who wouldn't know the songs? I think every generation had watched the film and sang their songs.
I was fortunate enough to have watched the theatre version of the film. It was a surreal experience. I have goosebumps at almost every act.
My favorite scenes were when the Von Trapp children came marching down and began introducing themselves to Maria and goodnight scene by the kids with little Gretl ending the song even though the scene was not portrayed as the same as the movie.
Though I am not a real expert in watching the theatre, I enjoyed the production. Maria was a delight. Considering that she was the winner of the reality show, "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?", a reality sho
w which was dedicated to finding the right girl to portray Maria in the prouction. Though, I didn't watch the show, the viewers mada a right choice. The kids, especially Gretl, were extremely charming and cute. I admire their confidence and courage to sing and act onstage with a full pack of people.
One thing I didn't like though was Captain Von Trapp. He looks like Alec Baldwin!!!! Bff had the right term for him -- pudgy. And I didn't feel much chemistry with him and Maria compared to Julie Andrews and Christopher Plumber.
Still, it was enjoyable. It was a nostalgic experience. The last play I watched was about almost ten years ago, Miss Saigon. If it wasn't free, I wouldn't have watched it. I'm beginning to revive my admiration in theatre, musicals especially. This wouldn't be the last for sure.
